Speyside’s newest single malt is turning heads—and it’s only the beginning.

Launching a whisky brand is no small feat. Doing it with soul, integrity, and international recognition from day one? That’s something special.

This week marks a major milestone for Ferguson Whisky with the official release of its 12-Year-Old Speyside Single Malt, matured in Pedro Ximenez sherry casks and bottled at a bold 55.7% cask strength. From its deep fig-and-dark-chocolate flavor profile to its elegant natural color and non-chill filtered authenticity, every drop reflects a commitment to quality that runs generations deep.

The spirit isn’t just strong—it’s being noticed. Ferguson Whisky’s debut release has already earned one of the highest industry accolades for a new bottling, validating both the liquid and the vision behind it.

And this is only the beginning.

A Family Legacy Meets Modern Craft

Rooted in the land and legacy of founder David Ferguson’s family, Ferguson Whisky is as much a story of heritage as it is of modern independent bottling. Every cask is selected with care, guided by decades of relationships and a future-forward mindset. The brand’s ethos is simple: crafted with conviction, made to be shared.

From Speyside to London, and now across 26 UK retail locations through The Whisky Shop, Ferguson Whisky is showing that quality still cuts through.

Built with Brindiamo, Ready for the World

This journey didn’t happen alone. Over the past two years, Ferguson Whisky has worked closely with Brindiamo to bring the brand to life—from sourcing the right casks to refining the strategy and supporting international exposure.

“Brindiamo has been on this journey with me since the beginning. From building the brand to connecting with distilleries, to being present at whisky events around the world, they’ve been a key partner every step of the way.”
David Ferguson, Founder & CEO, Ferguson Whisky

Ferguson Whisky also represents a new generation of independent bottlers—producers who prioritize craft, story, and small-batch excellence. By sourcing exceptional casks from trusted distilleries and bottling under their own brand, companies like Ferguson are reshaping the landscape of premium whisky with bold transparency and creative vision.

With expansion discussions underway in Austria, China, and India, the momentum is clear. And it doesn’t stop there—North America is also in the brand’s sights. The US and Canada will be key markets for Ferguson Whisky, alongside a wider rollout across Europe.

TRADE WINDS: WHY INDIA MATTERS

In May 2025, the UK and India signed a landmark trade agreement slashing tariffs on Scotch whisky—from 150% to 75% immediately, and eventually down to 40% over the next decade.

For independent brands like Ferguson Whisky, this opens a once-restricted market to new possibilities. With India poised to become the third-largest global economy, and whisky consumption rising, it's not just a trade win—it’s a strategic opportunity.

While Ferguson Whisky's launch begins in the UK and Europe, founder David Ferguson confirms discussions are already underway with distributors in India and China, with tariff reductions making those conversations all the more timely.

What’s Next?

More bottles. More markets. More momentum.

But for now, this first release is a moment to savor. And as Ferguson himself puts it:

“To be given this award for our first release is a huge honor. It reflects the quality we stand for and the hard work behind the scenes. It’s a reminder of what we’re building—and what’s still to come.”

Tasting Notes
