Brindiamo Group, a key player in the beverage industry mergers and acquisitions, recently facilitated the acquisition of D’Vine Wine by Handcrafted Wines. D’Vine Wine, a family-owned importer and distributor of premium wines operating in Oregon, will now join forces with Handcrafted, a distributor of wine, spirits, and specialty items in Kansas with aspirations for further growth in the beverage distribution sector.

In 1996, Handcrafted was founded with the vision of curating a carefully selected range of the world's finest handcrafted wines and beverages for customers in Kansas. Meanwhile, D’Vine Wine is dedicated to providing Oregon's retailers and restaurants with top-tier wines from winemakers who uphold traditional values and innovative sustainable practices.

“The nature of acquiring an additional distributor made this a very delicate and complex transaction” said Donald Brain, General Manager of Handcrafted. “Brindiamo really understood how to get this done. They took the time to make sure all stakeholders had a positive outcome. We needed to make sure the company’s culture, existing team, customers and suppliers all could build on this acquisition. The knowledge and discipline that Brindiamo brought to this process has allowed us to achieve all of these, as well as to better position Handcrafted Wines for the future”.

“It’s been a great experience to advise Handcrafted in this purchase,” said Jeff Hopmayer, Managing Partner of Brindiamo Group. “The future for these two companies, the brands they represent and the retailers they supply, is only going to grow.”

The seamless integration of the two companies will occur in the coming months. As both companies are privately held, specific details of the transaction will remain confidential. Brindiamo Group played a pivotal role as the exclusive advisor throughout the acquisition process.
